Classes
CLASS B CDL DRIVER TRAINING
Your training will start in the classroom, where you'll learn about the vehicles, basic truck driving controls, pre-trip inspection, cargo handling, emergency protocols and more. On the driving range, you will get behind the wheel and learn to operate and control your vehicle. After plenty of practice to build your abilities and your confidence, you'll take your newly acquired skills on the road, with our experienced instructors by your side. As your experience grows, your instructors will be right next to you, guiding you through what you need to know. With a Class B CDL, you can operate any non-articulating commercial vehicle weighing 26,000 pounds or more and tow vehicles under 10,000 pounds. This includes dump trucks, straight trucks, box trucks, and delivery trucks. Class B CDLs are also used for driving large passenger buses within your states, such as city, school, and tourist buses.
Upon graduation, you'll receive a diploma and will have the skills you need to obtain your commercial license and land an entry-level position in commercial trucking.
Class A
With a Class A CDL license, you’ll be able to transport cargo across state lines with a tractor-trailer. The Driving Edge CDL Academy is a great Truck Driving School that can help you get your Class A CDL in about a month. After you’ve acquired your license, you’ll be ready to start your new job in the trucking industry where you will receive additional on-the-road training.
